Nothing beats having a reason to talk football. Six months to this day, on August 28th, the Titans will be matched up against a team known to be a state powerhouse. That is 213 days, 5,112 hours, 306,720 minutes, or 18,403,200 seconds before life returns to normal for us football fans!
The Titans are heading out to the west side of the state to take on the Rockford Rams. Did I hear someone scream ROADTRIP!?!? Rockford is a small town of just over 6,000 residents and is just outside Grand Rapids. Don't let the small town fool you! This team is the real deal. They've are a Division 1 team who has qualified for the playoffs the past 25 seasons. They've won the state championship in 2004, 2005, and 2008. This will be a tough contest and one worthy of the travel.
The last time Stevenson played the Rams was back in 2004 when 18,361 screaming fans watched the Titans fall to the Rockford Rams in the state championship game at the Pontiac Silverdome.
So what do say Titans fans......whose up for a road trip and revenge?
