Subway loves our Titans!

Updated: Nov 11, 2019

Football is a great sport! Our Titan players work hard all week preparing to take the field on Friday nights. We see them on the field with their helmets on and sometimes forget what lies behind the face mask. It isn't until after the game when the helmets come off and the players begin to hug their family and friends that we are reminded there is so much more behind that helmet.

They are sons, brothers, grand kids, nephews, and friends of many. So much more than a number on a football team. The Titan Touchdown Club loves these boys!

These boys battle all week on the field and in the classroom. Each day they start class at 7:20 AM, which means most are awake by 6:30 AM. They attend class until dismissal at 2:15 PM and head straight to practice. Their practices are grueling and tough and, afterwards, it is straight home to do homework, spend some limited time with family, get to bed, and repeat.

Then, there are game days. On game days, it is like any other day at school. The only difference is, after school dismissal, the players stay put at school until the end of the game. It is a long day! Our players get hungry!

This is another great and often overlooked example of how the Titan Touchdown Club supports our team and your son. The Titan Touchdown Club saw a need to make sure these players get some food in their stomachs before the big game.

The Titan Touchdown Club reached out to restaurants and found a great supporter of Titan Football! Julie from Subway, at 13245 15 Mile Rd, has provided game day meals to our players for a deep discounted rate. She and her staff have provided game day meals for the entire season! Once our Titans made the playoffs, we once again reached out to Julie, at Subway, and asked if she would continue making her delicious subs for our boys and she enthusiastically accepted the challenge to feed the team......including our Wide Guys! Now that is a monumental task!

Because of the tremendous generosity of people like Julie, and Subway, our boys get a proper meal to hold them over until the game ends and they are reunited with their families.

We love you Julie and Subway! Next time you are in the mood for a great meal, go see Julie, at the Subway located at 13245 15 Mile (15 Mile/Schoenherr), and extend your appreciation for her continued support of Titans Football and the Titan Touchdown Club.
